(1886- 1914)
He frequented Charles Péguy, Marguerite Audoux, André Gide, André Lhote, Saint-John Perse; he passionately loved Madame Simone, wife of Claude Casimir Périer, son of the former President of the Republic. He was the friend of Jacques Rivière (originally the new French magazine / Gallimard) and his brother-in-law.
Son of a teacher, Henri-Alban Fournier was born in La Chapelle-d'Angillon on October 30, 1886, attended the school of Epineuil-le-Fleuriel from 1891 to 1898, prepared the naval school before writing The Great Meulnes. He died on September 22, 1914, on the side of Saint-Rémy-la-Calonne (Meuse).
