Travelling through northern Boischaut countryside you’ll be making a date with history :

Firstly, with the history of France itself. Barely a stone’s throw from the châteaux of the Loire, a host of fortresses and princely residences, such as Valençay, Bouges le château and l'Isle Savary, merit a detour. Likewise the remarkable religious buildings which bear testimony to a rich history, such as the collegiate churches at Levroux and Châtillon.

Secondly, with the history of man. Megalithic monuments, archaeological digs and the Gaulish village at Moulins-sur-Céphons, line the route of a fabulous journey through time.

Finally, with local history. On display in our museums you’ll find traditional activities and fascinating curiosities : leather and parchment at Levroux, gunflint at Luçay-le-Mâle and cars at Valençay.

But there are plenty of outdoor leisure activities too. Here in the northern Boischaut choose the tempo of your water music…. moderato for the fishing, pizzicato in the pool or allegro on the beaches!
